Spring fever has officially started in my house. Windows are open as much as possible and I am planting planting planting!! And dreaming of flip flops, my favorite accessory! In the mean time, I am also dreaming about March Mini Sessions!
I am planning on Daffodil Hill here in Amador County. It is S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G! Sometime is March, after the owners/operators give the go ahead, I will make an official announcement.
So look around your place and find a wall that could use some cheering up with yellow goodness and shoot me an email to reserve your spot. $75 gets you 3 fully edited high resolution digital files and an 11×14. It’s a STEAL!
I will do 5 in one day so the spots will fill up fast!

My daughter and I made these last night for a party today!

Here’s little Miss. Courtney a few years ago! How time flies. My heart hurts a little seeing her chubby cheeks!

Another one from that fun day.

I love this family! What a fun session!! We laughed a lot. I got embarrassed so we laughed some more. You can see the love this family has for each other. It just pours out of them. Mom and Dad have worked for years to raise their family and have two beautiful grandchildren now too! You can see their session here. I loved how these pictures came out. If only every session was as fun and easy as this! Stay tuned for another post with this family and the evolution of a large family picture! It is hysterical!

Been doing lots of siblings as of late…. fun but also difficult! But these two cuties were so sweet and camera happy!

More like wild wild boys! This session was one of my favorite from last year. These boys and dad were so much fun. We laughed a lot and jump around, climbed barbed wire and played on train tracks! What more can you ask for? Oh yeah- they were REALLY REALLY funny too. Here is a little glimpse of our great day!

WoW Wow Wow. Busy Busy Busy. No time to say all the wonderful things that I want to about this amazing family!! Just look at how precious he is! Remember him from this session? Take a look at him now!

I am a firm believer that belly pictures are to be treasured and remembered. It is something so fleeting, though it feels so long during the 9 months, you really NEED to capture the moments!
When I was pregnant with my son I started the “You know you are REALLY pregnant when….” jokes.
My fav:
“You know you are really pregnant when you spit out the tooth paste extra far to miss your shirt… but don’t.”
” You know you are really pregnant when you yell for your 3 year old and they quietly answer from somewhere below you.”
“You know you are really pregnant when the ice cream man stops at your house and waits for you to notice him…”
The great thing about these… most come from personal experience! I have loads more but that is another post all together!!
On to this amazing mama! The 411: They met in Guatemala where she worked as a dietitian and he a Physicians Assistant. Many many attempts later they dated and fell in love. Fast forward 5 years and hello Amador County.
I can not wait to take this baby’s pictures. His mama is stunning and daddy is a surfer so the combo is perfect o, No? I’m thinking a tan- dark- haired -fair -skinned surfer! Love it!

I have to say that I really love where I live (minus my mother not living here). Everywhere you look there are beautiful views and we actually have seasons! Yes, in California! Right now all the trees are almost done changing colors and it’s getting a little barren. But as soon as the rain starts it will be green where I live and snow just 15 min up the mountain! It’s fun. Well, actually I really hate the cold. I think that 78* year round is pretty much ideal. What can I say? You can take the girl out of Southern California but you can’t take the Southern California out of the girl!
That being said- when I moved here I found this fantastic neighbor and her family. At the time her “baby” was just 3 months old! Now that baby is so grown up and about to be a big sister this summer! So easy going and fun. I can’t wait for the belly session, the birth session, the newborn session…. etc! I can’t wait for it all!!

In Amador County we are blessed to have a wide range of activities to do. We have the wine country, the back country, up country and the country country. Yesterday we visited the wine country and the Amador Flower Farm where we took Maverick to the pumpkin patch for the first time. What fun! I love pictures of my kids with pumpkins. I don’t know what it is but they just look so sweet and earthy! Maverick is such a stud too. He loves to have his picture taken. Which is NOT normal for a photographers kids. Most photographers will tell you that their children hate loath can’t stand to have their picture taken really prefer not to have mom taking their picture a lot. My kids happen to really like it… when they are not crying.
